Located on the east side of beautiful Orcas Island, Moran State Park is the largest public access park in the San Juan Islands. With over 30 miles of hiking trails, many of which are seasonally or annually open to biking, casual and dedicated hikers can easily explore the 5,579 acres of woodland containing lakes, streams, camp grounds, and of course majestic Mount Constitution, the highest point in the San Juan Islands.
Call the Park Office to reserve your lakeside campsite today. Bring a boat and launch it into Cascade Lake or Mountain Lake for some fishing or just to see a different side of Orcas Island’s beautiful hills. Stop by the Day Use Area on Cascade Lake for a dip in the fresh water. Explore the far reaches of the Park’s limits on the Western Boundary Trail or Mount Constitution Loop. There are years of activities to uncover and enjoy in Moran State Park.
The Washington State Ferry Terminal in Anacortes is the gateway to Orcas Island and this natural paradise. Travel from the Orcas ferry landing towards Eastsound and you won’t be far away. Keep going towards Olga and you can’t help but pass through the Park’s historic white archway heralding your entry to Moran State Park.
